The Call of Duty League 2024 season is here, and the Major I tournament just closed out with its winners. Let’s take a deep dive into everything that’s happened and everything that is to happen so far!

Call of Duty League 2024 Season Overview

Call of Duty League 2024 Season Overview

Four Majors are vying for the crown this year, and we’ve got seven weeks of thrilling qualifying action leading up to each Major!

Call of Duty League also welcomed some fresh faces in the game, which are the newly minted Carolina Royal Ravens and Miami Heretics teams.

And of course, as per tradition, teams will be hosting each upcoming major, shaking up the competition. The Boston Breach and Toronto Ultra are back in action, hosting once again, this time for Majors I and III respectively. Plus, new teams Miami Heretics and Carolina Royal Ravens are rolling out the red carpet as they gear up to welcome fans to their cities for the inaugural seasons.

It’s already been a blast so far, as last December 2023, the season kicked off with its first games for the Qualifiers in Major I. Things were rounded up last January when the Major I came to a close, and Toronto Ultra proved superior in Search & Destroy and Hardpoint matches—earning their crown as Major I champions.

We are now edging closer towards the first week of the Call of Duty League Major II to be hosted by the Miami Heretics this February 16. Fans are holding onto the edge of their seats for epic match-ups and rivalries that will butt heads for the ultimate glory!

Call of Duty League 2024 Format

There’s a bit of a twist this season for the Call of Duty League. With the number of Majors being reduced by one, this means increased points for placements at the Majors.

Here’s the lowdown: Winners of the Majors are in for a treat with a whopping 100 points—that’s a massive boost of 35 points from last year’s season. Second-place finishers will bag 75 points (25 more than the previous season), and third-place teams are not far behind with a cool 60 points (20 more than last season).

Why does this matter, you ask? Well, these placement points are the VIP pass to determine teams’ seeding at the Champs. Last season, Atlanta FaZe dominated with a total of 385 points throughout the 2023 season, and we can’t wait to see who takes the crown this time around!

See below the game modes and updated point system for the Call of Duty League 2024 season:

The entire season will be played on only three game modes: Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Control. For a more detailed look at the official game modes available for the Call of Duty League 2024 season, make sure to check out our article: Call of Duty League 2024: Exploring the Game Modes.
