The NY Knicks forward had the game of his night with recording 36 points and 13 rebounds, as he also hit his eight 3-pointers as he tied his best with 2:07 left and defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-103 on Tuesday night. On the loss, Donovan Mitchell had 24 points, eight assists and eight rebounds to provide an all-around performance in his return from a three-game absence due to left groin strain.

After the game, Mitchell looked like he hurt his leg after attempting his last three at the rim and was slow to stand up after falling to the ground in an effort to save the Cavaliers. “I went up to try and dunk it, both my legs cramped and my just tightened up and locked up on me so three things happened at the same time,’ Mitchell said in an interview.

Obi Toppin scored 11 points off the bench, while Quentin Grimes added 1o points, while Jalen Brunson had 14 and RJ Barrett scored 16 points.

Cavaliers tried to get back and win the game after a layup by second year player Evan Mobley as the game tied to 100-1000 all. Julius Randle did not let the momentum go to the Celtics as he made an open look from beyond the three point line AS Brunson screened off Jarrett Allen to give the team a 103-100 lead. The lead was up to five points, 105-100 with less than a minute remaining in the match, Cleveland cut the lead to two with a three-point play by Garland with 39 seconds remaining 105-103. The visiting team had the chance to send the game into overtime, following the host’s clock violation with 15 seconds remaining.

Donovan Mitchel had the game on the line in his hand, but he miserably failed to convert a layup with 4.4 seconds left and also Mobley had a rough night after also missing the shot with one second remaining. Mitchell almost guided the Cavs to a potential comeback win by registering nine of his 24 points in the fourth quarter and still not enough to seal the victory on his side.

“That’s the thing, You’ve got to keep fighting and you’ve got to fight the good fight,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “So sometimes you fall short and then you’ve got to work your way out of it.” The host snapped their four game winning streak.

This week, the New York Knicks are interested to listen to talks for Immanuel Quickly getting out of the Knicks is currently rocking the NBA world, with Immanuel Quickly probably wanting to pursue other markets and completely flourish under a different team. There were teams with a legitimate interest in Quickley back when the Knicks were listening to offers more intently. I heard multiple decision-makers from other organizations lust over his impressive plus-minus numbers, which they believe paint him as a defensive maestro.
