A thrilling match day 13 of Bayern Munich at Bundesliga ended in a good result as they earned the much needed three points to get them back on the top of the Bundesliga table. Teenager Jamal Musiala started the Bayern’s adrenaline on the 12th minute coming from a great series of crosses and a nice touch of Sadio Mane to Musiala who had enough space to fire the first goal of the match and get the momentum for the Bavarians. The midfielder takes his time and touches before sending the ball into the bottom left corner. This is the eight goal of the season for the 19 year-old Musiala. The teenager won’t turn 20 until February, and he already showcases his prowess and potential to become a hall of fame, an annual winner and contender for Ballon D’Or, and a future legend that could shake all international and european tournaments. His magnificent skills on the pitch are always on show and on display for Bayern Munich.

With this opening goal of Musiala, it fueled Bayern Munich to retain and boost the momentum in the first half but they faced difficulties looking for an opening as it took them almost half an hour to arrive for the second goal. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting provided the second and the winning goal for Bayern within just a minute at the 37th minute mark and then on the 38th. However, when good things are starting to arrive for Bayern Munich and looking they have the victory already early at the first half of the match, Dodi Lukebakio gave Hertha a glimpse of a hope of a potential epic comeback when he scored a goal just two minute after a couple of goals of Choupo-Moting.

In the 44th minute of the match, Hertha saw another chance of scoring the second goal after the referee reviewed a VAR monitor and saw an obvious foul in the box committed by Pavard. Davie Selke successfully sank the penalty to slice the lead of Bayern to a single point.

The first half ended with a series of actions for both teams. Musiała proved himself, once again, that he is the rising sensation in the European football scene while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting continued his excellent output for Bayern Munich as he scored another two goals that translated to a victory.

On the other hand, Alphonso Davies suffered a World Cup nightmare as he was seen in pain and being pulled off at the second half with what seemed like a hamstring injury. Davies was also seen looking disappointed and upset as he walked off the pitch, a sign of a worse injury he sustained.

The good news is that Bayern Munich released a statement that Davies’ World Cup participation for Canada is ‘not at risk’. Canada qualified for the 2022 World Cup for the first time since 1986, and the second appearance of the nation in the prestigious tournament. So, the presence of Davies on the national team is very much needed to help his country get a satisfying result in Qatar.
