The first 45 minutes of the match ended all-square but it was very obvious that the host showed signs of dominance and could bring the fate of the game on their side. The first half resulted in a very lack of quality for both teams, failing to register any single goal.

Brazilian and Man United Midfielder Fred registered the first goal for the Red Devils during the 47th minute mark with a brilliant assist from Sancho before Fred fired it past Llori and Eric Dier and delivered the ball at the bottom corner. Manchester United took the momentum!

During the 52nd minute mark of the match, Casimero received a first yellow card for a foul on Hojbjerg in midfield. 17 minutes later, Bruno fernandes registered the second goal of the game after a counter-attack was denied by Dier inside the box. The ball went in the direction of Fernandes and he calmly curled the ball into the right side of the net. Manchester United doubled their lead and secured their sixth victory of this season.

The match ended with an empathic style by Manchester United expanding their unbeaten run to five straight games. This is also the fourth straight victory of the Devils against Tottenham Hotspurs across all Premier League competitions.

Cristiano Ronaldo axed from Chelsea game

The 37-year-old Portuguese has been put again into doubt after his tantrum at the bench against Hotspur and he is dropped out in the roster against Chelsea. Many speculate that the club is considering cutting Ronaldo’s contract to force him exit from the club if there will be no deal to happen this January.

The club released a statement stating the exclusion of Ronaldo from the upcoming game against Chelsea, “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s Premier League game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture.”

Cristiano Ronaldo took his statement on his social media account with an assurance that he will always be a United, and will always support the club and his teammates.

“Right now, I just feel that I have to keep working hard in Carrington, support my teammates and be ready for everything in any given game. Giving in to the pressure is not an option. It never was. This is Manchester United, and United we must stand.”
