Wolves’ struggles continue

Last season, Wolves’ Premier League campaign finished with a bad record as they missed the qualification for Europa League. It led to the team’s sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo. Lage’s poor performance that equates to the current head coach and as he fails to provide any signs of improvement led to his early exit.

Wolves’ owner suffers serious lucrative investments on players including the signings of Matheus Nunes from Sporting but it did not translate as the team still continued to struggle under the era of Lage, with Wolves scoring only three points within just 8 games.

Jeff Shi, the Wolves Chairman said that they were left with “no choice but to act”.

He said: “Bruno is an excellent coach, a hardworking and dedicated manager, and a warm, wise, and honest man. He and his staff have been a pleasure to work with throughout their time at Wolves, so it is with much sadness that we have had to make what has been a difficult decision. I honestly have no doubts about Bruno’s ability, and I’m sure he will succeed elsewhere, however the team’s form and performances over the last few months mean that we have no choice but to act.”
