Cristiano Ronaldo could make his return to Europe football

Al Nassr made bold claims that the Portuguese forward could make his blockbuster return to play for his last chance for Europe football.

Cristiano Ronaldo made his most-awaited debut for his new club Al Nassr in Saudi league, and after just two games of failing to find the back of the net and registering his name in the scoresheet, it looks like his contract has changed immediately. His Al Nassr Coach Rudi Garcia believes that the Portuguese superstar will return to Europe, as he said, “Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition, as he helps to disperse defenders. He is one of the best players in the world. He will not finish his career at Al-Nassr, he will return to Europe.”

In spite of that bold claim by Garcia, it contradicts what Ronaldo had pledged to the Saudi club after signing up the contract and unveiling his jersey, stating that his work in Europe has finished and that he came to Saudi Arabia, despite having received several offers from European and American clubs.

“I am so proud of making this big decision in my life and my career. My work in Europe is done. I played for all the most important clubs,” he said during the press conference. “Nobody knows but I can say now that I had many opportunities in Europe, many clubs in Brazil, in Australia, in the US even in Portugal, many clubs tried to sign me,” Ronaldo added.

During an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo confidently said that his decision to reject a move to Saudi Arabia signified how decisive he was to still compete at the top level in European football. “If it was just about money, you’d be in Saudi Arabia earning this king’s ransom, but that’s not what motivates you,” Morgan emphasized to Ronaldo and then he added “You want to keep at the top [level].” Ronaldo nodded and acknowledged by responding, “Exactly.”

“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football. I feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia.”

During his first game, Ronaldo helped his Al-Nassr team on his debut to beat Al Ettifaq at the King Saud University Stadium – despite failing to register a score on his debut game, Al-Nassr boss Rudi Garcia lauded his praises on the Portuguese veteran for his great effort and impact on the field – his presence that truly intimidated the opposite side that eventually led them score a goal and took the victory.

“It’s a positive addition when you have a player like Ronaldo as he helps to distract the defenders, which is what happened with our goal.” Coach Rudi said during an interview. “Today we created opportunities for him and asked the players to diversify the game between him and Talisca, and we must not forget that he participated in the (exhibition match against) Paris St-Germain and did not get enough rest,” he added.
