Toronto Raptors beat LA Clippers in NBA Pre-season

Toronto Raptors opened their NBA pre-season with a 121-113 win against Los Angeles Clippers at Stan Sheriff Center, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Kyle Lowry led the Raptors with 17 points in just 16 minutes and all Raptors starters scored in double figures to beat the Clippers.

Serge Ibaka and CJ Miles got 12 points each while DeMar DeRozan scored 11 points. In addition, Jonas Valanciunas had 10 points and 10 rebounds in 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, Norman Powell and Delon Wright also chipped in 16 and 11 points off the bench for Toronto.

On the other end, Clippers star Blake Griffin led his team with a game-high 18 points while Danilo Gallinari and former Raptors sixth man Lou Williams each had 17 points.

It was the Clippers’ first game since superstar Chris Paul left the team for Houston Rockets this summer and Patrick Beverly, who replaced Paul as the starting point guard, netted 14.

Moving forward, Toronto’s regular season begins October 19th at the Air Canada Centre against Chicago Bulls.
