Timoue Bakayoko pens five year deal to be with Chelsea FC

Tiemoue Bakayoko has officially joined Chelsea from Monaco and becomes the second most expensive signing in history.

Bakayoko, who delivered a superb performance last season for Monaco has sealed a five-year long contract on weekend to complete his move to Stamford Bridge.

He helped Monaco lift the Ligue 1 title and impressed the world in the Champions League.

With the move, the 22-year-old is expected to make a midfield partnership with France team mate N’Golo Kante, who Bakayoko sees as the best player in the Premier League last term.

He said, “N’Golo has proved it all,” and furthered, “He was the best player in the Premier League last season in the middle of the pitch and that is not easy.”

The new Chelsea signing has expressed excitement and revealed that playing alongside Kante will further help him develop his pitch performance.

Add to that, the French international also disclosed that Antonio Conte’s side is a great team with great history. And to be with the English champions was his best wish.

“I am very happy and proud for me, my family and the people who have been following me for a very long time. Now the work starts for all of us together to progress.”
