Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos said Neymar is welcome in case he decides to move to Barnabeau, while admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent moodiness is not the best.
Neymar has a reputation for being the chief nemesis of Real Madrid during his playing career at the club’s long-time rivals—Barcelona. In eight Clasicos, the Brazilian managed to create three goals and two assists before finally singing up for Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
“I like to have the best players, and Neymar is one of them,” Ramos said on the El Larguero radio show. “Maybe he thought it would be easier to go through PSG first, rather than straight from Barca to Madrid. I hope so. You never know in football.
“He could bring us a lot of quality. I’d open the door if he wants to come in December.”
Meanwhile, the Real captain disagreed to Ronaldo’s suggestion that the club has gotten weaker after the departure of players such as Alvaro Morata and Pepe.
“I don’t agree that we were stronger [last season]. When we won the two Supercups [in August], we were stronger than ever — now people are being opportunist.
“I would look more to the injuries. The squad has changed this year, but it is not better or worse. I prefer to look at this in May, which is when the paella is ready.”
On a different note, Real Madrid’s next game is a derbi against Atletico Madrid that will take place on the third week of November (check out the best betting odds on 12BET).
