Paris Saint-Germain is eyeing to extend Adrien Rabiot’s contract in the club before the January transfer window opens.
Since the season started, Rabiot has scored two goals and provided three assists from 17 appearances across all competitions.
According to reports, the club officials have been keen to come up with a new and improved contract for the 22-year-old midfielder.
However, Rabiot’s mother, Veronique, who happens to be his agent too, is blocking the deal because they were unconvinced about the team’s current direction. Add to that, Rabiot’s side is demanding for assurance that the young star is not going to be moulded into Thiago Motta’s heir in the deep-lying midfield role.
Nevertheless, Rabiot’s mother has been impressed by PSG’s remarkable actions for the signing of powerful players such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
In order to maximize the club’s potentialities, the Parisians are said to have been working on acquiring new defensive midfielder and finding new clubs for Lucas Moura, Javier Pastore, and Hatem Ben Arfa.
