World champions Germany has been knocked off to the top by Brazil in the latest FIFA rankings.
In the list that was issued by football’s governing body, the World Cup winners Germany have dropped to second place despite of winning the Confederations Cup against Chile at the Krestovsky Stadium in St. Petersburg last July.
Due to the ranking points of 1,604, Brazil reclaims the top spot over Germany with 1,549.
Meanwhile, Argentina retained the third place having 1399 points. Switzerland went to fourth for their best position since 1993 and Poland moved into an all-time best fifth.
In addition, European champions Portugal fall two places sixth. Chile, Colombia, Belgium, and France completed the top 10.
On the other end, USA national team was the biggest in the recent FIFA world rankings. USMNT climbed up nine places from 35th to 26th in the world after winning CONCACAF Gold Cup.
