What a way to end the game. The Miami Heat pulled off a dramatic 90-89 victory against the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.
Thanks to Wayne Ellington. He was left wide open in the right corner to get the inbound pass as he went to the baseline to score a decisive win with 0.3 seconds remaining to end the five-game losing streak in Toronto.
Ellington finished the game with 15 points while Goran Dragic led the team with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
”I looked at the rim and I saw him just charging hard. Obviously, that’s what they wanted to take away from me, was that 3-ball in the corner. I was able to get loose, man, and get around him.” Ellington stated after the game
Bam Adebayo added 16 points and 15 boards and big man Hassan Whiteside contributed 13 points and 15 rebounds to upset the Raptors.
Meanwhile, the Raptors played with point guard Kyle Lowry, who suffered a bruised tailbone.
DeMar DeRozan guided Toronto all the way with his 25 points but it was not enough to get the win, including the clutch drive and putback layup by the All-Star shooting guard that gives them 89-88 lead.
