Los Angeles Lakers emphatically snapped a seven-game losing streak against Cleveland Cavaliers with a 127-113 victory at the Staples Center.
Julius Randle led all the scorers and produced one of the most impressive games of his professional life with a career-high 36 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists to beat LeBron James and the Cavaliers.
The Lakers also had a solid effort from Brook Lopez, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Isaiah Thomas, who scored at least 20 points to ensure the win for the Lakers, even without their other star Brandon Ingram.
Lopez finished the game with 22 points with eight boards while Caldwell-Pope and Thomas each scored 20 points, with Isaiah adding nine assists to destroy his old team off the bench. (Don’t forget to check 12BET for more Free Betting Tips)
Meanwhile, LeBron had his usual stunning performance, scoring 24 points, adding 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Cavaliers.
Meanwhile, Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson had 16 and four points in their first game against the Lakers since they were traded for Thomas and Channing Frye last month of February.
“I think the rebounding hurts us. I think the physicality on the block. Not having as many bigs, having to double team the post a lot and scramble around. But that’s what we have to do right now, so, no excuses.” Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said after the loss against the Lakers. (Sign Up now for more updated news and sports events)
Cleveland played the Lakers without their four wings/big man Kevin Love (broken bone in left hand), Tristan Thompson (sprained right ankle), Rodney Hood (lower back strain) and Cedi Osman (left hip flexor strain) who were unable to help down low.
Moving forward, the Cavs will now travel to face the Phoenix Suns while the Lakers will be ready to host the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday (GMT +8).
