Max Holloway beat Jose Aldo via third round TKO at UFC 212

Max Holloway reigned supreme at UFC 212 after he finished Jose Aldo with a third round TKO at Jeunesse Arena, Rio de Janeiro.

Holloway picked up his 11th win over Aldo and was crowned as the new featherweight champion, becoming the undisputed king at 145-pounds.

Both fighters landed some huge shots and good combinations but Holloway started to find his rhythm and landed heavy shots to knock out Aldo.

The victory was met with boos from 15,412 crowds, as Aldo protested the stoppage by the referee.

Going back, Holloway was beaten by the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in 2013 and wants redemption from the former featherweight king.

Meanwhile, the Hawaiian fighter was the second person to beat Aldo after McGregor put him to sleep with one punch knockout in 2015. A stunning 13-second KO at UFC 194.

Holloway proved himself that he is one of the best in the sport as he rolled through the featherweight division.
