NBA Team: Robert Sarver plans to sell NBA’s Suns and WNBA’s Mercury

Degrade NBA owner Robert Sarver announces his plan to sell his NBA team Phoenix Suns and Mercury after a 1 year ban over workplace misconduct.

Last week, Commissioner Adam Silver and the NBA agreed to suspend Sarver for a year with a fine of $10 million after an investigation found out about his work misconduct: hostile, racially insensitive, and inappropriate behavior. He announced this Wednesday that he will sell the NBA’s Phoenix Suns and the WNBA’s Mercury. You may visit us for more nba odds analysis and related articles here!

“As a man of faith, I believe in atonement and the path to forgiveness,” Sarver said from his statement in regards to the punishment he received and hoping that the suspension would provide sufficient time for him “to focus, make amends, and remove personal controversy.” The American businessman emphasizes the negative effect of ‘cancel culture’ that outweighs the things he has done for the Phoenix area and basketball in general.

“But in our current unforgiving climate, it has become painfully clear that that is no longer possible — that whatever good I have done, or could still do, is outweighed by things I have said in the past,” he said. “For those reasons, I am beginning the process of seeking buyers for the Suns and Mercury.”

The NBA Commissioner Adam Silver expressed his full support of the decision of the disgraced Suns owner.

Various independent investigation has done and found that Sarver engaged in many inappropriate conduct toward female employer, sex-related comments, and unusual and inappropriate remarks on female employees’ appearance. He was also reportedly using the N-word many times when “recounting the statements of others.”

According to the Golden State Warriors star and former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green in his podcast that Sarver could no longer represent the NBA. “The NBA stands for inclusion. The NBA stands for diversity. The NBA definitely stands against bigotry and racism … This report that came out last week is the total opposite of everything that the NBA stands for,” the NBA star said during his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show.”
