Back in 2018, James Harden became the first player to register a 60-point triple double with 11 assists and 10 rebounds in a game for Houston Rockets. “He’s special. For a player to do something that’s never been done before — it’s hard to do. There’s been some great players before him,” Kidd said in an interview after the match.

On the losing side, Quentin Grimes recorded a career-high 33 points while the Dallas native Julius Randle scored 29 points and 18 rebounds for the Knicks, who were on a four game skid after coming off an eight-game winning streak. Their primary point guard, Jalen Brunson missed the action due to hip injury and this would have been his return to Dallas after the infamous trade.

This is a thrilling game between the Dallas Mavericks and the New York Knicks. Led by Quentin Grimes, the Knicks were up by nine points with 33.9 second remaining in the final quarter, but Dallas and Doncic made an impressive 12-3 run to outscore and send the game into overtime.

In overtime, the Mavericks outperformed the New York Knicks with 11-6 to seal the victory. “I’m tired as hell,” Doncic said during an on-court television interview. “I need a recovery beer.”

The social media went on fire after this outstanding performance by Luka Doncic. Many NBA players went into Twitter to express their congratulations to the Dallas Superstar, including the Hall of Famer Kevin Garnet, “It’ll be another statue in Dallas… Luka is like that.”

Doncic became the seventh player in NBA History to record a 50-point triple-double while he became the youngest player to ever achieve the feat, stealing the record from the all-time great Wilt Chamberlain.

Mitchell Robinson added 20 points and 16 rebounds on the loss for the Knicks. While Spencer Dinwiddie registered 25 points and Christian Wood added 19 points to give Luka Doncic a help he needed to push Mavericks for the victory and up to the sixth spot of the Western Conference standing.
