The Celtics forward went on to score 11 points at the extra time, after LeBron James’s layup to the basket at the end of the regulation ended in a miss due to the obvious foul of Jayson Tatum, the referees announced that they missed the foul call to Jayson Tatum which appears that he really touched LeBron’s arm. The call didn’t come and Boston prevailed, withstanding a 41-point performance from James — who jumped up and down in frustration at the non-call before kneeling on the court.

Frustrations are pretty obvious to the tone of the Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham, who spoke with “pain” of losing this huge game, “The best player on Earth can’t get a call – it’s amazing. I don’t understand it.”

In a post-game interview, the Los Angeles Lakers star center Anthony Davis said that they were “cheated” and the Chief Officiating crew Eric Lewis told reporters that the crew had missed the call, “there was a contact. At the time, during the game, we did not see a foul.”

LeBron James and the Lakers were left shell-shocked as appeals for a foul were ignored as the buzzer was released while Patrick Beverly brought the photographer’s camera to show the referee a proof of a foul and he received a technical foul after that.

“You’ve seen some of the games we’ve lost with late-game missed calls… I don’t see it happening to anybody else,” James said. “You saw my reaction. It’s challenging. I don’t get it,” he added.
