A year ago, he even jokingly posted on social media that he would want $1 million to participate in the contest. The 2020 ROY then elaborated that the in-game dunks is the new trend, and slam dunk contests are quite boring. But still, Ja Morant participating in this tournament will boost more pressure and create more hype and excitement.

He must join this year and try to retrieve his insane package of dunks way back when he was in his High School in order to clean his name as one of the best young dunkers in the NBA. By participating in the tournament he will not only practice his insane dunks, but he will have the chance to compete and show his Alpha Dog mentality in Basketball. At 6’5, he had a higher chance to clinch the title out of the three and he will be the second youngest to win the NBA Dunk Contest behind Kobe Bryant in 1997.
