The Czech Champion suffered an embarrassing defeat at their home after Bayern Munich blew a valiant performance in the first half. Leon Goretzka dominates

He then followed at the 35th minute after Sane’s brilliant series of crosses through PIzen defenders on how to the box. Sane passed it to Goretzka who made a perfect run to have a one-on-one with the goalkeeper and successfully sank his second goal. Bayern 4 – 0 Viktoria!

The halftime ended with Bayern taking advantage of the Czech Champion’s inconsistency and probably lack of experience. Despite the host making a couple of goals in the second half, it was not enough to surprise the German Champion. Now, with Inter –  Barcelona 3-3 draw, Bayern Munich seal the spot on the knockout stage of the Champions League. While Viktoria PIzen is at the bottom of Group C standing with four losses and will exit the group stage and the Champions League.

“It’s always nice to win away from home. We’ve got 12 points from four games in the toughest group and we’re into the round of 16,” Julian Nagelsmann told reporters.

“Now we want to top the group. This win gives us the necessary calm ahead of Freiburg on Sunday. That was our goal and we achieved it.”
