Manchester United most likely to sell Romelu Lukaku after the 2018/19 Premier League

Manchester United is possibly ready to let go and sell Romelu Lukaku this summer in order to have enough funds rebuilding the club.

It seems like head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s honeymoon period at United is over following his run of six defeats in eight matches in all competitions. Meaning, the scale of the job at hand has become abundantly clear.

The Red Devils are planning another mass overhaul at the end of the season. Not only that, there are big players who are expected to leave the team after the 2018/19 Premier League, as Solskjaer looks to mix things up for the next campaign.

Star players like Ander Herrera, David De Gea, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba have all been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford but United will try to negotiate to keep them.

One player that could be on his way out is Lukaku. Recently, the Belgium international’s agent recently hinted at a summer exit and the former Chelsea striker is reportedly open to a move abroad where he has a better chance of picking up silverware.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are both on the market that reportedly interested on Lukaku for long-term successors to Edinson Cavani and Robert Lewandowski.

Going back, United signed Lukaku from Everton for an initial £75m in the summer of 2017 but the 25-year-old has not come close to repaying that fee.

So far, Lukaku has scored 28 goals in 63 league appearances for United and has not reached 20 goals in a league campaign in either season for the Red Devils.
